Every Friday, Dustinn's office has a themed "social hour." They've done things like karaoke, Christmas cookie decorating, Chinese New Year, etc. Today was chocolate tasting.
Each person was presented a tray of chocolates. The leader had everyone taste and rate the chocolate insync and "cleanse their palates" in between each piece. After varying levels of cacao, different varieties of exotic chocolates were set out to sample.

AND Dustinn brought me home a bag of chocolates (how sweet is he?) These are just a few of the ones I tried:

bacon flavored chocolate (eww gross...tasted like fatty meat)
pressed ginger chocolate (ginger is too strong/spicy a flavor for me; soaplike)
almonds and sea salt chocolate (delicious! reminencence of chocolate covered pretzels but so much better)
orange peel chocolate

WHO makes bacon flavoured chocolate? sounds to me like one of those behaviour modification programmes to get you unhooked from chocolate - ya know, you eat enough really weird ones, and you don't dare try the next one for fear of what it'll be . . . maybe dustinn's office has been having rampant chocolate eating?

as little as i like chocolate, cacao-dense chocolate was even worse. after testing the 84% cacao, i wrote on my comment card "tastes like sand and vomit"

What? Isn't chocolate supposed to be sweet and creamy...and chocolatey? Who on earth would eat bacon-flavored chocolate. Ick! The idea of a chocolate-tasting event sounds like a lot of fun though.

ok. SO jealous that dustinn's office got to do CHOCOLATE TASTING AT WORK! who does that?! that's AWESOME! although, a part of me is NOT so jealous that some of the chocolate flavors to be tasted were gross or wacky :P I'm so glad that Dustinn brought some chocolates home for you, Val! He loves you :)

I think dustinn secretly works for the FBI. Only government jobs have perks like that.

by the way, val, I got your letter a while ago - that's so sweet of you! I wanted to let you know that you have our address slightly wrong - it's really 12166 and you had one of the numbers wrong. It did get here eventually though. Thanks!
