Christmas in the Mountains (aka The bazillion picture post)

a.k.a. The bazillion picture post

This was the first time we (DVB & O) spent Christmas at the cabin. My whole family was together, we found and cut down our own tree, talked around a crackling fire, had a Glee marathon, created trains for Bradshaw involving most of the family members, built a sledding jump, and just had such a magical relaxing time. (And did I mention our bed has an electric heating pad....aaah.)

The trip started with Dustinn's birthday.
We woke him up bright and early with singing and breakfast in bed.
(Little did we know he had worked until 5am that morning. Oops.)

this yellow (think Color Code) was not pleased that stitches were encumbering her playBradshaw wanted to go out in the snow like thisI quickly learned if I wanted some cuddle time with little Lady I had to reserve it several days in advance.Colton had a knack for knowing exactly when to jump.
I can practically hear Bradshaw's squeal.
Can you guess what everyone is gathered around (she's in Uncle James' arms.)
My Grandmother throws a wondeful party for her grandchildren every year.
Olivia was baby Jesus in the Nativity. :)
Nelson loves little Olivia so much.
And, of course, we got to see the beautiful Stefanie!

Thanksgiving Post

We spent Thanksgiving in Palm Springs, CA with Dustinn's grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles & cousins. It was the first time for many of them to meet Olivia.

The highlight for Dustinn & I was watching Bradshaw play with his cousins. It makes us so happy to see Bradshaw happy.

Little Lady: 2 Months Old

At 2 months:
  • She weighs 11 lbs and is too long for newborn-size clothing
  • She gets lots of eye goobers in her right eye. (Clogged tear duct, right? Pediatrician said to wipe it away warm washcloth and wait it out.)
  • Her hair is super cute with a red tint.
  • She's pushed herself from stomach to back a few times. Each time, it scares the daylights out of her.
  • Her eyelashes seem to get longer and darker everyday
  • She LOVES being cooed to, close-up eye contact, her crib mobile, her bouncer, baths, being naked, being swaddled, the reverse football hold, being upright, sleeping in our arms, and sucking on her wrist/fist.
  • She DISLIKES riding in the car. She is upset by bright lights, crowds and/or loud noise.
Have I mentioned that she's the most adorable thing ever? We love this babe-ia!

A few of my favorite (recent) pictures of Olivia

We went to California for Thanksgiving and while we were there, Dustinn's cousin Amy offered to make a huge breakfast for everyone (like 50 people!) Needless to say, I admire Amy's bravery and generosity.
Anyway, off of the living room was an amazing playroom and I had Olivia try a bunch of the things. She's much too young for this exersaucer but look how strong she is!
