What a sweet outfit. Of course I love it. I just finished: The No.1 Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. The story is taken place in Botswana. I kept thinking of you and your first companion...Mbesana? I now that not how you say it. It was fun to read things like "biltong" and "bush tea"...things I have forgotten about. Have you read this book?
I haven't read The No. 1 Detective Agency but I've heard really great things. I need to get it at the library. "m"-be-sana is exactly how you say it! We kept in touch up until about 6 months ago; I need to email her. Do you have any idea/way to contact Angela Kubheka? My memory is very poor. Most of South Africa seems like a hazy dream. Isn't that so sad? I hope your memories much better and you'll be able to tell Eden & David stories.
I feel the same way. It is totally a daze. The other day Paul wanted me to tell a story from my mission to some people that I had told him when we first met. I couldn't remember the name of my companion...isn't that horrible. It didn't come to me until hours later. I guess there are several books, that is the first one. I went to the book group tonight. Some of the ladies said that this one is the most "dark" in the sense that real life sorrow happens. The main characters name is Precious! I had forgotten that is such a common name. I don't have any good ways of communicating with Kubeka. I sent them a card for their wedding and it was returned back to me. I heard updates from Sister Roberts who said they got a divorce? I think she was hearing from the mission office. It is so sad to loose contact. Email? That seems so unreliable since most of my emails to South Africa get returned. If you find a way of communication let me know!
